A numerus clausus (NC) is not an issue at the IU, we allow studying without NC. We prefer to look together with you at where your strengths and talents lie, so that you can really study exactly what adds value to you and your environment. Accordingly, there is no NC with us. If you meet all the other requirements (see table and further FAQs), nothing can prevent you from making a successful start for your future.
You can study the Dietetics bachelor’s degree through the distance learning programme completely on your own terms and with 100% flexibility. Thanks to the virtual learning format with interactive online courses, your IU studies can be completed entirely independent of time and place.
Yes, we also make that possible at the IU. In addition to the entrance qualification in form of an Abitur or Fachabitur, prospective students without an Abitur also have the opportunity to enter our bachelor’s programme. You can study Dietetics without an Abitur if you can prove that you have completed a qualified training as a state-certified dietician and have worked as a dietician for at least 3 years as your main occupation.
Dietetics takes 36, 48 or 72 months, depending on the time model you choose. If you need more time and semesters for your studies, this is also absolutely no problem.
